Baseball Recap: Ardmore Comes Up Short

Ardmore was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a 14-11 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Florence Falcons. Even if the Tigers couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Ardmore's loss dropped their record down to 14-16. As for Florence, with the win, they broke their nine-game losing streak and moved their record to 15-20.

Ardmore does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Florence, they will square off against Austin at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Black Bears have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.21 runs per game on average), something the Falcons will no doubt try to take advantage of.
