While Bowie's victory against Pewitt wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Pirates sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Brahmas on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Pirates have posted since March 7th.

Bowie is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Pewitt, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-6.
