Volleyball Recap: David City Beats Sutton for Their Fourth Straight Win

David City entered their tilt with Sutton on Thursday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They came out on top against the Mustangs by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Scouts, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

While David City won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-22.

Kamryn Behrns paced David City's offense, picking up eight kills. Behrns got some help from Kambri Andel and her 14 assists. Emma Zimmerman controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Despite the loss, Sutton still got an impressive performance from Elsa Andersen, who had six digs and two aces.

David City's victory bumped their record up to 16-7. As for Sutton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-10 record this season.

Coincidentally, David City and Sutton will both be playing Fairbury the next time they take the court. The Scouts will head out to face the Jeffs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Mustangs will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
