It was a good run, but St. John Paul II unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Aucilla Christian Warriors. The Panthers were red-hot at the plate heading into the contest (they scored no less than ten runs in the four matchups prior), but the Warriors' pitchers proved too tough.

St. John Paul II suffered their first home loss, dropping their record down to 14-4. As for Aucilla Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season.

St. John Paul II will face off against Dixie County at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Aucilla Christian, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Blountstown at 6:00 p.m.
