Soccer Game Preview: Puckett vs. Magee

The Puckett Wolves will take on the Magee Trojans at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Puckett is headed into Saturday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Thursday. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of Crystal Springs.

Meanwhile, Magee managed to keep up with Clarkdale until halftime on Thursday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Magee came up short against Clarkdale, falling 5-0. The loss continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now lost four in a row.

Magee's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-7-1. As for Puckett, their loss dropped their record down to 1-9.

Puckett might still be hurting after the 13-1 defeat they got from Magee in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Puckett was down 11-1.
