Amherst won the last time they faced Wilcox-Hildreth, and Addy Simmons did her part to make sure it happened again. The Amherst Broncos walked away with a 40-30 win over the Wilcox-Hildreth Falcons on Thursday with plenty of help from Simmons, who dropped a double-double with 14 points and 16 rebounds. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in shooting accuracy (67%).

Despite the loss, Wilcox-Hildreth still got an impressive performance from Madison Bunger, who went 8-for-17 to rack up 16 points along with seven boards and six steals. Bunger is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as she's posted one of at least 46% in the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Katelyn Bunger, who posted seven points and six rebounds.

The victory made it two in a row for Amherst and bumps their season record up to 14-10. As for Wilcox-Hildreth, their loss ended a ten-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-8.

Coming up, it'll be an old-fashioned rodeo when the Broncos duke it out with the Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on February 28th. Silver Lake will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Amherst surely won't give up without a fight. As for Wilcox-Hildreth, they will challenge Mullen at 6:00 p.m. on February 28th. Mullen is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.3 points per game this season.
