Basketball Recap: Sioux City North Takes a Loss

Sioux City North lost against Sioux City East back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Sioux City North Stars were dealt a 75-36 loss at the hands of the Sioux City East Black Raiders. While losing is never fun, the Stars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 106th, while the Black Raiders are ranked 20th).

Sioux City North has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season. The victory was the fourth in a row for Sioux City East, bringing their record for this year to 18-3.

Sioux City North does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sioux City East, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 81-60 win against Dakota Valley on the 22nd.
