After losing to West Point-Beemer the last time they met, Howells-Dodge decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Howells-Dodge Jaguars sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 38-35 win over the West Point-Beemer Cadets on Saturday. Winning may never get old, but the Jaguars sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Despite the loss, West Point-Beemer still got an impressive performance from Ian Schiller, who posted nine points along with six rebounds and four blocks. Those four blocks gave Schiller a new career-high.

Howells-Dodge's victory bumped their record up to 17-4. As for West Point-Beemer, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-5.

Howells-Dodge and West Point-Beemer should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Nebraska Rankings. Howells-Dodge will challenge Twin River at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday up 152 places (49 vs. 201). Meanwhile, West Point-Beemer (ranked 58th) will meet Madison (ranked 232nd) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
