Soccer Recap: Notre Dame Takes a Loss

Notre Dame was the 3-1 winner over Mediapolis when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Nikes came up short against the Bulldogs on Monday, falling 5-1. Notre Dame have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Notre Dame's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-5. As for Mediapolis, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-4-1.

Coming up, Notre Dame will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against Mt. Pleasant at 5:00 p.m. Mt. Pleasant's last three matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Mediapolis, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 5-1 win against West Burlington on the 5th.
