Basketball Recap: Hopkins County Central Takes a Loss

After flying high against Crittenden County last Tuesday, Hopkins County Central came back down to earth. The Hopkins County Central Storm took a 57-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lyon County Lyons on Thursday. The Storm were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lyons apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Hopkins County Central has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 13-12 record this season. As for Lyon County, their win bumped their record up to 18-8.

Hopkins County Central has already played their next match (against Hancock County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Lyon County, they will welcome Union County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
