Softball Recap: Inderkum Tigers vs. Antelope Titans
Inderkum can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent game on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Antelope Titans with a sharp 11-3 win. Winning may never get old, but Inderkum sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Emily Jacobus was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed seven innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits. Jacobus was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI.
In other batting news, Inderkum let Alexandra Jacques and Aubrey Rios loose on the outfield. Jacques went 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI, while Rios scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. Rios is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now stolen at least one in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jenna King, who scored two runs and stole two bases.
On Antelope's side, Kaylee Garcia was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-2 with a stolen base, two RBI, and a double. The team also got some help courtesy of Jillian Todd, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
Inderkum has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6-1 record this season. As for Antelope, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
