Volleyball Recap: Cleveland Blue Raiders vs. Heritage Mountaineers

Cleveland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Heritage Mountaineers. The Blue Raiders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mountaineers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Gunny Brock paced Cleveland's offense, picking up 13 kills. Brock got some help from Ava Franklin and her 17 assists. Payton Gianassio controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Cleveland's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Heritage, their record is now 3-1.

Looking ahead, Cleveland will be taking part in a tournament against Tennessee at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Heritage, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Morristown-Hamblen East at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Mountaineers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
