Football Game Preview: Lakeside Rams vs. Camden Fairview Cardinals

After each having a week off, the Lakeside Rams and the Camden Fairview Cardinals will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Lakeside is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Arkansas' top teams: Robinson, who was ranked tenth at the time (Lakeside was ranked 16th). The Rams lost to the Senators at home by a 35-16 margin two weeks ago. The loss put an end to the Rams' undefeated start to the season.

The losing side was boosted by Peter Ohman, who rushed for 109 yards and one score.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Camden Fairview beat Pine Bluff 26-22 two weeks ago.

Lakeside better keep an eye on Dayton Browning. He was instrumental in Camden Fairview's win, rushing for 109 yards and a pair of TDs on only 13 carries, while also picking up 51 receiving yards and one touchdown. Brodie Dow was another key player, throwing for 126 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes.

Camden Fairview's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Lakeside, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Lakeside was able to grind out a solid victory over Camden Fairview in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, winning 43-36. Will the Rams repeat their success, or do the Cardinals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
