It was a good run, but Jefferson City unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Helias Crusaders by a score of 3-2. Surprisingly, this marked the Jays' fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Jefferson City's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 23-5. As for Helias, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-12 record this season.

Jefferson City wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 3-2 win against Fatima on the 15th. Helias has also already played their next contest (against North Point), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
