In other batting news, Brooke Johnson was incredible, firing off three home runs and four RBI while going 4-for-4. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Madison Buzzard, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Meanwhile, Hesperia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against Burroughs, falling 18-5.
Marlie Munoz was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Izabel Sanchez was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one double.
Apple Valley's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-4-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Hesperia, their loss dropped their record down to 5-10-1.
Hesperia's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Apple Valley hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .332. It's a different story for Hesperia, though, as they've only averaged .252. Will they be able to contain Apple Valley's hitters?
