Basketball Game Recap: Aurora Central vs. Thornton

Depite a solid game beyond the arc (45.45% for ten threes), the Thornton Trojans couldn't get the better of the Aurora Central Trojans this past Thursday. Thornton was just a bucket short of a win and fell 63-62 to Aurora. If Thornton was hoping to take revenge for the 59-38 loss against Aurora when the teams met last December, then they were left disappointed.

The defeat dropped Thornton's record to 8-12. Aurora's victory brought them up to 15-6.

Thornton is staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Vista PEAK Prep. Thornton fans better hope the squad plays one heck of a game as the odds are decidedly against them. As for Aurora, they will face off against Gateway on Wednesday. Aurora won't have the home-court advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
