Basketball Recap: Orrick Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Orrick duked it out with Crest Ridge on Monday. The Bearcats were beaten by the Cougars 67-9. The Bearcats lost against the Cougars in their previous head to head back in February, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 47-34 score last time.

It was another big night for Morgan Wyatt, who went 9-for-15 en route to 20 points and seven steals for Crest Ridge. Thanks to that strong game, Wyatt now owns an excellent 46.9% field goal percentage. Another player making a difference was Laney Wilhite, who shot 75% from the field on her way to 13 points and three steals.

Orrick's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Crest Ridge, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Orrick wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 48-26 defeat against Santa Fe on the 10th. Crest Ridge and Windsor will compete for holiday cheer at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
