Volleyball Recap: Patriot Prep Academy Takes a Loss

Patriot Prep Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the KIPP Columbus Jaguars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Jaguars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 last Thursday.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-8, 25-11.

Jamiya Howard paced Patriot Prep Academy's offense, picking up ten kills. Howard got some help from Jessica Lucio Chavez and her 18 assists. Camille Knight controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Patriot Prep Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for KIPP Columbus, their win bumped their record up to 4-6.

Patriot Prep Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Academy for Urban Scholars on the 12th. As for KIPP Columbus, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Logan on the 13th.
