Volleyball Recap: Animo South Los Angeles Takes Down Arleta in a Playoff Battle

Animo South Los Angeles extended their postseason success on Monday against Arleta. They had just enough and edged out the Mustangs 3-2. The win was familiar territory for the Panthers, who have now won three games in a row.

Animo South Los Angeles' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Edwin Villegas, who had 13 digs. That's the most digs Villegas has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Jesse Dubon, who had nine digs and one assist.

The victory got Animo South Los Angeles back to even at 15-15. As for Arleta, their loss dropped their record down to 3-15.

Looking ahead, Animo South Los Angeles will square off against Wilson at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Arleta does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
