Baseball Recap: Space Coast Takes a Loss

Space Coast was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 17-7 to the Titusville Terriers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Terriers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-2 back in March.

Kayden Thomas and Joseph Henry stepped up to the plate in a big way. Thomas scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances, while Henry scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Warren Culleny, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 2-for-3.

Space Coast's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Titusville, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Space Coast will welcome Astronaut at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Titusville, they will be playing at home against Palm Bay at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Terriers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Pirates have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season.
