Basketball Recap: Salisbury Takes a Loss

Salisbury was the 66-57 winner over Parkland when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Salisbury Hornets fell just short of the Parkland Mustangs by a score of 56-53 on Monday.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Parkland to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jordan Fisher, who went 6 of 10 on her way to 19 points and seven boards. Fisher is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Azari Wilkins was another key player, putting up 16 points and three steals.

Salisbury's loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Parkland, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-6.

The future could be bright for both Salisbury and Parkland: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Salisbury will look to extend North Davidson's three-game losing streak when the meet at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Similarly, Parkland will try to hand Atkins their fourth-straight defeat when the two meet at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
