Basketball Game Preview: Woonsocket Villa Novans vs. Rogers Vikings

The Woonsocket Villa Novans will head out on the road to challenge the Rogers Vikings at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Woonsocket will come in still looking for their first win of the season.

Last Thursday, Woonsocket ended up a good deal behind Mt. Pleasant and lost 58-39.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Angel Hernandez, who posted 14 points. He has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Jans Aponte, who put up nine points.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Rogers, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Monday. They took down Cranston West 47-33 on Thursday. That looming 47-33 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Vikings yet this season.

The win got Rogers back to even at 4-4. As for Woonsocket, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.
