Butler hadn't beaten Mallard Creek on the road since August 20, 2015 but that history sure didn't bother them on Tuesday. The Bulldogs were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Mavericks. The Bulldogs were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Mavericks, so the Bulldogs were just returning the favor.

While Butler might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Mallard Creek scored at least 20 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-22, 28-26.

Kinsley Singleton paced Butler's offense, picking up 14 kills. Singleton got some help from Valentina Simanic and her 29 assists. Simanic was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

The victory made it two in a row for Butler and bumps their season record up to 8-3. As for Mallard Creek, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-15.

Butler has already played their next game, a 3-2 loss against Independence on the 11th. As for Mallard Creek, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Indian Land on the 10th.
