Recap: Blanchester Wildcats vs. Goshen Warriors
The Blanchester Wildcats lost against the Goshen Warriors back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Blanchester was beaten by Goshen 76-37. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Blanchester has scored all season.
Leading Goshen to victory were Conner Moore and Caden Zeinner. Moore scored 20 points along with six rebounds, while Zeinner scored 18 points along with six assists and five steals. The match was Zeinner's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Muchmore, who scored ten points.
Blanchester's defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 2-3. As for Goshen, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-1.
Blanchester will finish 2023 at home by hosting Williamsburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Williamsburg has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 297 points over their last five contests. Goshen won't have much time to rest: their next game is against West Clermont at 3:00 p.m. on December 23rd. West Clermont will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 712th, while Goshen is ranked 151st).
