Recap: DSST: Green Valley Ranch Raptors vs. DSST: Cedar Falcons
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against DSST: Conservatory Green, the DSST: Green Valley Ranch Raptors were happy to have found some success on Friday. They took down DSST: Cedar 61-43. Given DSST: Green Valley Ranch's advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 64th, while DSST: Cedar is ranked 240th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
DSST: Green Valley Ranch was led to victory by Shalom Abioye and Jovonnie Babineaux. Abioye dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds, while Babineaux scored 19 points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was Leul Michael, who scored six points.
DSST: Green Valley Ranch's victory bumped their record up to 10-2. As for DSST: Cedar, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. DSST: Green Valley Ranch will take on Manual at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for DSST: Cedar, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Stargate School at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
