Basketball Game Preview: Garfield-Palouse Vikings vs. Asotin Panthers

The Garfield-Palouse Vikings will challenge the Asotin Panthers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Garfield-Palouse will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.

On Saturday, Garfield-Palouse blew past Colton, posting a 71-22 win. The Vikings have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 25 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Asotin came into Saturday's contest having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 28-20 victory over River View on Saturday.

Garfield-Palouse's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 57.5 points. As for Asotin, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-5.

Everything came up roses for Garfield-Palouse against Asotin in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 63-19 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Garfield-Palouse since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
