Football Recap: Cornerstone Charter Academy Piles Up the Points Against Tradition Prep

Cornerstone Charter Academy got themselves on the board against Tradition Prep on Thursday, but Tradition Prep never followed suit. They claimed a resounding 28-0 victory over the Pirates. Considering the Ducks have won three contests by more than 24 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

A big part of Cornerstone Charter Academy's win came down to the chemistry between Connor Luckado and his top target Jackson Marsingill. Luckado threw for 66 yards and three touchdowns while Marsingill picked up 28 receiving yards and a pair of scores. What's more, Marsingill posted two receiving touchdowns, the most he's had since back in August.

Cornerstone Charter Academy's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-4. Those road wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 8.0 points on average over those games. As for Tradition Prep, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.

Cornerstone Charter Academy will take on St. Edward's in a tournament on Thursday. Tradition Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
