Soccer Game Preview: Lutheran vs. North Mac

The Lutheran Crusaders will face off against the North Mac Panthers at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Lutheran will be strutting in after a victory while North Mac will be coming in after a defeat.

Lutheran will bounce into Friday's match after beating Riverton/Tri-City, who they had gone 0-6 against in their six prior meetings. The Crusaders had just enough and edged out the Hawks 3-2 on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, after soaring to five goals the game before, North Mac was a bit more limited in their contest on Saturday. They lost 4-1 to Lincolnwood/Morrisonville/Nokomis. North Mac have struggled against Lincolnwood/Morrisonville/Nokomis recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Lutheran has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3-1 record this season. As for North Mac, their loss dropped their record down to 6-15.

Everything went Lutheran's way against North Mac when the teams last played back in September, as Lutheran made off with an 8-0 win. Do the Crusaders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
