The Mill Creek Hawks will be playing at home against the Peachtree Ridge Lions at 7:30 p.m. Mill Creek is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
Mill Creek had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They put the hurt on Osborne with a sharp 42-17 win on Friday. Considering Mill Creek has won seven matchups by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Mill Creek's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Shane Throgmartin led the charge by throwing for 111 yards and three touchdowns. Another player making a difference was Jaiden Patterson, who picked up 81 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Peachtree Ridge had just enough and edged Lambert out 20-17 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Peachtree Ridge.
Peachtree Ridge's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Darnell Kelly, who threw for 192 yards and a touchdown. Peachtree Ridge also got help from Tyeion Cofield who showed off his sure hands for 81 receiving yards.
Mill Creek has yet to lose a game at home this season, leaving them with a 11-0 record. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 29.87 points. As for Peachtree Ridge, their win bumped their record up to 10-1.
Keep an eye on the end zone in Friday's game as Mill Creek and Peachtree Ridge haven't had much trouble getting there this season. Mill Creek commands a daunting offense this season, having averaged 4.9 touchdowns per game. However, it's not like Peachtree Ridge struggles in that department as they've been even better at 5 per game.
