Basketball Recap: Cushing Comes Up Short

Cushing was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They fell 32-23 to the Bristow Pirates. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 39-31 back in January.

Bristow found their leader in freshman Josie Morgan, who posted 16 points in addition to five assists and five steals. The dominant performance gave Morgan a new career-high in points.

Cushing's loss dropped their record down to 2-21. As for Bristow, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cushing will head out to face off against Berryhill at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bristow, they will venture away from home to take on Sperry at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
