Baseball Preview: Kouts Mustangs & Fillies vs. Culver Academies Eagles

The Kouts Mustangs & Fillies will head out on the road to take on the Culver Academies Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kouts is looking to tack on another W to their six-game streak on the road.

Last Saturday, Kouts beat North Newton 12-7.

Landon Garrett made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits. Garrett has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive pitching appearances. Garrett was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4.

In other batting news, Logan Clark was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3. Kouts is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5-1 record this season. As for Culver Academies, their record now sits at 14-4.
