Hunter has gone 9-1 against Kearns recently and they'll look to pad the win column further  on Thursday. The Wolverines will head out to  face off against the Cougars  at 3:30  p.m. Hunter is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2  runs per game  this season.

 LEILA AIONO was a  major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  pitched three innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   three  hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in ten consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box,  going a perfect 2-for-2 with three  RBI and one  triple.
 In other batting news,  KENYA LAPUAHO was  incredible,  firing off two  home runs, six  RBI,  and three  runs while going 4-for-4. That's the most  home runs  she has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was  SARAHI GOMEZ, who  went 3-for-4 with three  runs, one  triple,  and one  stolen base.
 Hunter  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 19  hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their  hit total in three consecutive  contests.
 Meanwhile, Kearns fell victim to West Jordan and their airtight pitching crew  on Tuesday. They came up short against  the Jaguars, falling  13-0. The Cougars have struggled against the Jaguars recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.
 Hunter moved to 7-11 with that  win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Kearns, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-11.
 Everything went Hunter's way against Kearns in their previous meeting  back in March, as Hunter made off with  a  17-3 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolverines since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
