Volleyball Recap: St. Xavier Takes a Loss

St. Xavier was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wakefield Bombers.

While St. Xavier had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-19.

St. Xavier's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Wakefield, they moved to 2-19-1 with that victory, which also ended their six-match losing streak.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Bombers beat St. Xavier by a score of 2-0 later that day.
