Softball Recap: Turner's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Turner won against Bland on Thursday with three runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Turner Lions beat the Berkner Rams by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 3-2. The win was just business as usual for the Lions, who after four games remain undefeated this season.

The team relied heavily on Hailey Serrano, who went a perfect1-for-1 with two stolen bases and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in February of 2024. Kylie Pender also deserves some recognition as she stolen her first stolen base of the season.

Turner always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .538. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .538 or higher in three consecutive games.

Turner's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-0. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one runs across that stretch. As for Berkner, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Coming up, Turner will welcome Palo Duro at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Berkner, they will venture away from home to face off against North Mesquite at 9:00 a.m. on Friday.
