Softball Recap: Pebble Hills Takes a Loss

After flying high against Coronado last Saturday, Pebble Hills came back down to earth. The Spartans came up short against the Montwood Rams on Wednesday, falling 13-1. The Spartans were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Rams earlier this season, when they won 5-4.

Pebble Hills saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Syan Saldana, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Pebble Hills' loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 12-18. As for Montwood, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 18 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-7 record this season.

Pebble Hills wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 14-0 defeat against Eastwood on the 11th. As for Montwood, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-5 victory against Eastlake on the 10th.
