Preview: Gilmer vs. Lumpkin County
Lumpkin County will challenge Gilmer on the road at Homecoming at 7:30 PM on Friday. Both teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.
Lumpkin County took a serious blow against Jackson County last Friday, falling 0-45. Lumpkin County were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-35.
Meanwhile, Gilmer might have drawn first blood against Gordon Central, but it was Gordon Central who got the last laugh. Gilmer ended up on the wrong side of a painful 15-44 walloping at Gordon Central's hands.
The losses dropped Lumpkin County to 1-2 and Gilmer 0-3. We'll see which team satisfies that hunger and which team leaves with an empty belly.
