Soccer Recap: Fort Lauderdale Victorious

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Fort Lauderdale had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Fort Lauderdale Flying L's who were credited with the win. The Fort Lauderdale Flying L's got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Monarch Knights's two. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 back in November of 2024.

Fort Lauderdale's victory bumped their record up to 6-12-2. As for Monarch, their loss dropped their record down to 9-7-3.

Fort Lauderdale will face off against Coral Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Coral Springs' last three matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. Monarch does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
