Basketball Recap: Oak Cliff Faith Family Academy Falls Short Against Ranked Montverde Academy

Oak Cliff Faith Family Academy is ranked highly in their home state and on Saturday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Montverde Academy. The Oak Cliff Faith Family Academy Eagles lost 70-48 to the Montverde Academy Eagles. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against Oak Cliff Faith Family Academy this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 50-45 back in December of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Montverde Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Saniyah Hall, who almost dropped a double-double on 26 points and nine boards. The dominant performance gave Hall a new career-high in rebounds. Another player making a difference was Aaliyah Crump, who posted 16 points in addition to six boards and five assists.

Oak Cliff Faith Family Academy's loss dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Montverde Academy, their win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-1.

When Oak Cliff Faith Family Academy and Montverde Academy next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Oak Cliff Faith Family Academy will take on DME Academy and their four-game winning streak on Monday. Meanwhile, Montverde Academy will try to stop Cannon's four-game winning streak when the meet at 2:00 p.m. on Monday.
