The Menlo School Knights will take on the Sequoia Ravens at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
Menlo School is returning to their home field after beating Sacred Heart Prep on theirs, despite the fact Sacred Heart Prep has dominated at home this season. The Knights narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Gators 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Knights have posted since April 6th.

Reid Plamondon tossed a big game, striking out six batters over 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March.
On the hitting side, Jack Freehill was excellent, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs.
Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Sequoia faced off against Los Altos on Saturday. The Ravens skirted past the Eagles 6-5.
Mario Fausto made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one home run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Nolan Fausto, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. Connor Murray was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run.
Sequoia lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Los Altos didn't launched any.
Menlo School is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.6 runs over those games. As for Sequoia, their win bumped their record up to 14-10.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Wednesday. Menlo School hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.9 home runs per game. However, it's not like Sequoia struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 1 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
