Recap: Rowland Hall Winged Lions vs. Waterford Ravens

The Rowland Hall Winged Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their seventh straight loss. They took a hard 42-25 fall against Waterford. Rowland Hall was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Waterford apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.

Despite the loss, Rowland Hall still got an impressive performance from Quinn Orgain, who scored seven points along with two blocks. That's the first time this season that Orgain posted two or more blocks.

Waterford's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kenley Carter led the charge by scoring seven points along with nine rebounds and eight steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Anne Howard, who scored 14 points.

Rowland Hall's loss was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 2-8. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 20.8 points per game. As for Waterford, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.

Coincidentally, Rowland Hall and Waterford will both be playing St. Joseph the next time they take the court. Waterford will host St. Joseph at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Rowland Hall will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
