Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ariton). Their defense stepped up to hand the Highland Home Flying Squadron a 10-0 shutout on Monday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Purple Cats needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

Ariton's victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 3-8. As for Highland Home, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Coming up, Ariton will face off against Long at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Ariton will be up against Long's rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.09 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Highland Home, they will venture away from home to face off against Providence Christian at 5:03 p.m. on March 27th.
