Baseball Game Preview: Fairbury Jeffs vs. Louisville Lions

The Fairbury Jeffs will venture away from home to take on the Louisville Lions at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Fairbury has given up an average of 11.9 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Fairbury is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They fell 17-12 to Aurora on Monday. The Jeffs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Miles Tatro made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-5. Lucas Livingston also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, Louisville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 12-0 to Platte Valley.

Fairbury's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Louisville, their loss dropped their record down to 2-10.

Fairbury skirted past Louisville 4-2 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Jeffs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
