Preview: Foothill vs. Mira Monte
Foothill has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against Mira Monte at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
Foothill faced off against Golden Valley for the first time this season, and Foothill walked away the winners. They didn't even let Golden Valley onto the board and left with a 2-0 victory on Thursday. The result kept Foothill happy, as they haven't lost a game since December 9, 2023.
They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Luis Gonzalez and
Jovanny Salazar, who scored.
Meanwhile, Mira Monte has not lost a match since January 9th, a trend which continued in their latest game on Thursday. Neither they nor Arvin could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw.
Mira Monte avoided a loss thanks to
David Ramirez and
Gabriel Perez who posted.
Foothill's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-3-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 4.0 goals per game. With that draw, Mira Monte's record moves to 9-4-4.
