Georgetown-Ridge Farm scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They secured a 51-47 W over La Salette Academy. The victory was just what Georgetown-Ridge Farm needed coming off of a 66-28 defeat in their prior match.
Georgetown-Ridge Farm's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ajhon Watson led the charge by scoring 19 points. Another player making a difference was Jase Latoz, who scored 14 points.
Westville has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 27 points or more this season. They breezed by Grace Christian Academy at home to the tune of 66-39. Given Westville's advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 266th, while Grace Christian Academy is ranked 754th), the result on Thursday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Georgetown-Ridge Farm's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Westville, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-1.
