Malibu and Santa Paula are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2020, but likely not for long. The Sharks will square off against the Cardinals at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither Malibu nor Santa Paula posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Santa Paula duked it out with Oaks Christian on Thursday. The Cardinals fell just short of the Lions by a score of 3-2. The Cardinals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Santa Paula's defeat dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Malibu, their loss dropped their record down to 1-15.

Malibu suffered a grim 11-1 defeat to Santa Paula in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Sharks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
