Baseball Recap: Minford Comes Up Short

Minford entered their game against Waverly on Wednesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Falcons came up short against the Tigers, falling 11-3. If the Falcons were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to the Tigers when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Minford's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Waverly, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Minford will welcome Symmes Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Waverly, they will face off against McClain at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
