Soccer Game Preview: North vs. Taft

North hasn't had much luck against Taft recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. Both will compete for holiday cheer at 9:00 a.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

North's tournament run continued when they took on Coalinga on Friday. North might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Coalinga an easy 8-1 victory. The Stars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Taft didn't have quite enough to beat California City on Friday and fell 2-1.

Taft's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4-2. As for North, their loss dropped their record down to 1-9.

North came up short against Taft in their previous meeting last Friday, falling 2-0. Can North avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
