Soccer Recap: Prairie Heights Comes Up Short

Prairie Heights came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the New Haven Bulldogs, falling 9-1. While losing is never fun, Prairie Heights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana soccer rankings (they are ranked 301st, while New Haven are ranked 136th).

Prairie Heights' goal came courtesy of Caston Day, who's now up to three this season.

Prairie Heights has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season. As for New Haven, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-5-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Prairie Heights will face off against Fort Wayne Fusion at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for New Haven, they will take on Woodlan at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
