Baseball Recap: Mcconnellsburg Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

McConnellsburg had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Forbes Road as they made off with a 13-2 win. The Spartans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw Forbes Road, too.

McConnellsburg got a great performance from Kason Harrell as he tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. The dominant performance also gave Harrell a new career-high in strikeouts (five).

On the hitting side, Kohen Hall was a standout: he went a perfect 4-for-4 with five RBI, three runs, and one double. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kade Gress, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four RBI and two doubles.

McConnellsburg kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Forbes Road only managed seven hits.

McConnellsburg's record now sits at 8-4. As for Forbes Road, their loss was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-11.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: McConnellsburg beat Forbes Road by a score of 11-0 later that day.
