St. Dominic had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They never let the Battle Spartans onto the board and left with a 10-0 win.
St. Dominic got a massive performance out of Brady Baker, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Andrew Henke, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
St. Dominic didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 4-0 loss vs. St. Louis University on the 16th. As for Battle, they will head out on the road to challenge West Plains at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Battle is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
